the drawings are mostly sketches, with a couple finished drawings on each page.Īlso, the whole book was one artist, who I guess is a comic book artist? the massive boobs and muscles appeared here as well, and some of the female poses were the really oversexualized poses you see in bad comics.
seriously - no walking, no jumping (except totally unrealistic superhero jumping, that is worse than useless if you want to draw a normal person jumping), but several different versions of superhero flying. now I don't mind some superhero poses, but I was expecting them to include some normal action poses as well, and they did not, at all. pretty much all the action poses were superhero poses. "action poses": eugh, possibly my least favourite. there were a bunch of more normal looking ones, and I guess it was just the style a lot of the artists use, but I was really not a fan. like seriously, I can't overstate how massive the muscles and boobs were. "idealized bodies" one: it was cool to see a bunch of different artists draw the same thing, copying a bunch of them was fun and I def learned some stuff, BUT 90% of the drawings had massive massive muscles and boobs, which is not how I want to draw at all. I got the first 3 books from the kickstarter - the one with different artists doing "idealized bodies" from 3 directions, the first "action poses" one, and the character design one, here's what I thought: No porn, extreme gore, hateful/political artĬLEAR FLAIR Related Subreddits Doing Art:
